In the coming weeks we plan to interview current TML players, referees and the occasional TML legend about their experiences of playing football in Japan.
It would be great if you put yourself forward or a team mate to answer a few questions. Also if you want any particular questions asked then let me know.
In recent seasons Division 2 has always had a top team dominating the league and then the best of the rest battle it out for 2nd place. This season is no different.
For the second week running the beauty of the Cup gave us another huge Cup upset. With FC International sitting on top of Division 1 Real Celts knew they would need the game of their lives.
Real Celts started with a high tempo which meant they were winning every first and second ball. With the wind blowing as hard as the Celts players lungs they each kept to...
With matchday 19 dedicated to the FJ Cup & Plate matches only. The award was always going to go to a team who could cause a Cup upset. A few notable performances should be mentioned. Pumas defeated Panthers for the first time. Pumas were originally formed as the Panthers 2nd team. Also Lions FC beat Jetro 4-1 to add some glory into a difficult first half of the season for them. The winners of this weeks award must go to Nepal United who beat Division 1 Sala FC 4-1....

For the first time a team has won back to back TOTW award. Admittedly the team did first win the award last year but well done to Tokyo Hibernian. They won due to their efforts at the New Year 7s. They came out of the Group of Death undefeated and only conceded 3 goals in the knock out rounds to claim the first bit of Footy Japan silverware up for grabs.
Love them or hate them, Tokyo Hibernain FC are a very good team. They proved this once again this weekend with a 5-1 victory over their closest rivals over the last few seasons Swiss Kickers. At half time it was one all. Captain Kirk had scored for Hibs. His half time speech inspired a superb 2nd half display. Masa Egawa started it with a left footed screamer, an own goal and Kodai Stalph header from a corner made it 4, and then Egawa scored his second and hibs' 5th on a...
With 22 TML teams in action it was a tough choice for this weeks FJ TOTW.
The winning team remains unbeaten and have 6 W's on the Recent Form section of their team page . The impressive form has put them on top spot in Division 1. Well done to Panthers FC. After a tight first half v Sala FC,...
