After winning a Manager of the Month Award in the Premier League a team usually ends up having a disastrous month. WIll we start seeing this trend happen after teams win the FJ TOTW? After winning last weeks award British Embassy were finally on the wrong end of a result! Musketeers FC are contenders for Promotion this season and after beating last weeks award winners they have claimed the prize this week.
22 weeks in and I think this was the toughest decision for me in terms of who should win this weeks FJ TOTW. Notable mentions should go to FC International for beating Swiss 4-1, Sala scoring 8 and Albion old Boys who scored 5 against FC Sagarmatha. However we have one team who has completed the perfect 10. 10 matches played and 10 victories. British Embassy have been defeating teams week in week out.
In the coming weeks we plan to interview current TML players, referees and the occasional TML legend about their experiences of playing football in Japan.

In recent seasons Division 2 has always had a top team dominating the league and then the best of the rest battle it out for 2nd place. This season is no different.
For the second week running the beauty of the Cup gave us another huge Cup upset. With FC International sitting on top of Division 1 Real Celts knew they would need the game of their lives.
With matchday 19 dedicated to the FJ Cup & Plate matches only. The award was always going to go to a team who could cause a Cup upset. A few notable performances should be mentioned. Pumas defeated Panthers for the first time. Pumas were originally formed as the Panthers 2nd team. Also Lions FC beat Jetro 4-1 to add some glory into a difficult first half of the season for them.
Firstly Happy New Year to you all. Time for another fascinating report. If you are one of my avid fans then you are aware even though I run the tournament I actually end up watching very little of the matches. Why I hear you ask? I am not totally sure but I am usually playing, chatting to people and generally making sure everyone is having a good time.
For the first time a team has won back to back TOTW award. Admittedly the team did first win the award last year but well done to Tokyo Hibernian.
They won due to their efforts at the New Year 7s. They came out of the Group of Death undefeated and only conceded 3 goals in the knock out rounds to claim the first bit of Footy Japan silverware up for grabs.
