Sala FC
Established 1997
About
Sala FC is a Chiba based team established in 1997. Sala FC players can now be found in Chiba, Tokyo, Saitama and Kanagawa. Since joining the Tokyo Metropolis League in 2002 the team has gained promotion from Division 2 as champions, finished 3rd in its first season in Division 1 and were beaten finalists in the World Motors Cup in 2003. Sala FC has also participated in other competitions and have won the Highland Games 5 a-side and the FJ Charity 7s tournaments.
Sala FC now teeters on the fragile precipice twixt the 2nd and 3rd divisions, due to age, immobility, and drunkeness.
The players spend much of their free time in bars, since it is considered that talking about the game through an alcoholic haze is the key to success.
