After 4 straight loses, not many gave Kanto Celts a chance of taking anything from Saturday nights match verses table toppers Tokyo Hibernian. The match between the two earlier in the season produced a dull 0-0 and once again Kanto Celts held firm and did not concede. The difference in this match was that Celts took their chances. 3 in total. The pacey forward line of Satsohi Mitsuda and Jiro Yamashita scored a goal each and also a debut goal from Neil Shonard was enough...
FC International put themselves into title contention with a convincing 5-2 victory over Pumas FC. Pumas FC who were unbeaten this calendar year, started off the brighter team by scoring first on Saturday evening. By the time they had finished celebrating it was 1-1 with FC International scoring straight after kick off. By half time it was 2-2 with FC International once again coming from a goal behind....
It's a shame we don't have a player of the week award as it would go to one man. Division 1 top scorer Koji Oguro netted 7 of the 9 Panthers goals on Saturday evening against Imperio FA. His tally now stands at 20 for the season.
Nikolai and Ma also scored to help them win this weeks FJ TOTW. ...
Aged, orange fools, King George FC, scoffed at their mid-table mediocrity by recording an emphatic win over a resilient Oakwood Clash in Shin Koiwa. After a season filled with sluggish starts and sloppy goals, the Saitama giants finally turned in a convincing performance despite going into the break at 1–1 thanks to a Colin Cameron goal.
Four second-half goals from Yuki Utsumi, Ryosuke Urai (2) and Thomas Bright ensured a 5–2 victory and earned KGFC the coveted FJ...
Going into the weekend I had marked on my schedule that another Cup upset could be on the cards. Sala FC in the previous round had found that Nepal United were a tricky opponent, so Barbarians needed a professional performance if they wanted to progress into the FJ Cup Semi Final.
The first half saw Barbarians break the well organized defence once with a Naoya Unemura goal and they went into the second half knowing they needed to score more. On came Fred Delsaux...
After winning a Manager of the Month Award in the Premier League a team usually ends up having a disastrous month. WIll we start seeing this trend happen after teams win the FJ TOTW? After winning last weeks award British Embassy were finally on the wrong end of a result! Musketeers FC are contenders for Promotion this season and after beating last weeks award winners they have claimed the prize this week. They won 3-2 by applying just enough pressure using their speedy...
22 weeks in and I think this was the toughest decision for me in terms of who should win this weeks FJ TOTW. Notable mentions should go to FC International for beating Swiss 4-1, Sala scoring 8 and Albion old Boys who scored 5 against FC Sagarmatha. However we have one team who has completed the perfect 10. 10 matches played and 10 victories. British Embassy have been defeating teams week in week out.
The points were won with their deadly forward line scoring all...
