FJ TOTW MATCHDAY 8
Announcements - October 14th 2017
When BFC Tokyo was founded nearly 40 years ago it had very strong links with the British Embassy. As the club grew so did the Embassy and a new team was formed. British Embassy FC has been going for some 23 years.
Like any Premier League Derby these days the team sheets were full of many nationalities and only a sprinkling of British talent. This was the first time the teams have met in the top flight for nearly a decade.
The battle of Britain kicked off with some nice football from both sides. The Embassy struck first. Within a minute BFC had equalized through Takahashi.
Level at half time. The second half belonged to the elder British team as BFC scored 4. Kohei Hanada and Yosuke Matsumoto scored 2 each. 5-1 was final score line. BFC retain the title as the top dogs of the British football scene in Tokyo.
Well done on winning this weeks FJTOTW!
