Robert Walters Team of the Week (March 12)

This weeks Robert Walters TOTW goes to Pumas FC over there hard earned win over Nepal United. The game was very tough for both sides, with no goals being scored in the first half. Both teams were creating good oppurtunities, Pumas were getting many shots off, Nepal United scored a goal that was called off due to an offside. Pumas adopted a high press strategy to counteract and suffocate the possesion based style Nepal United wanted to play.

Robert Walters Team of the Week (Feb 27)

The first round of the Footy Japan ESR cup has finally been played. Most of the match results were very predictable with the higher division team consistantly winning their games.
Kanto Celts (d2) beat Guts (d3) 7-1, YeBoiz (d2) beat Saitama Jets (d3) 4-1, Dutch (d2) beat BFC Vagabonds (d3) 6-0, Suns (d2) beat Real Celts (d3) 9-0, Lions (d1) beat King George (d3) 10-2, Eastern Capital (d1) beat Sagarmatha (d3) 5-0.

Robert Walters Team of the Week (Feb 12)

Coming off a solid win against FC Nepal last week, Hibernian FC were up against top-tier FC International.
Hibs convincingly won against FC International, which gives them an important lead over other teams and puts them at the top of the table. Goal scorers were a mix of the Hibs young generation player; Hiroki Kobayashi (2) and old generation player; Tomomitsu Kunii (1) with a sprinkle of new comers; Keisuke Suzuki (1), Tokiharu Masamori (1)

New Year 7's

It's been over a year since we've had any sort of 7 aside football but it finally happened. January 29th at YCAC. 10 teams duking it out in two groups. It was great to see so many international communities coming together to play a common sport.

Robert Walters Team of the Week (Jan 22)

After a tough 3-3 draw against Fussa last week, Real Celts pulled together for a very solid performance against BFC Vagabonds, earning them the Robert Walters team of the week! Game was held at one of TML's latest venues, BST Nagasawa Sports Ground, which has a slightly smaller pitch size. The turf itself is gorgeous which makes it a joy for any footballer to play on.

Robert Walters Team of the Week (Jan 9)

Happy New Year to everyone! Hopefully players are eager to shed some of the weight they've put on over the holidays... and what better way to do so than to play football?! The Robert Walters Team of the Week goes to BFC Vagabonds after winning their game against FC Sagarmatha. Despite it snowing a few days before this match, the weather was very pleasant on the day (so pleasant that even Stephen Etherington was not wearing a beanie).

Robert Walters Team of the Week (Dec 15)

British Embassy have had very polarizing results this season so far. At their highs, they've beat the top two teams of last season Hibs and Pumas. At their lows, they've lost against bottom-tier Panthers. But regardless of their result, this team will put in the work, put in the practices and continue to chug on. In a league where many teams lose commitment based on results, clubs like British Embassy show how a team is suppose to operate.

Robert Walters Team of the Week (Nov 2nd)

With only a handful of weeks left until the end of the year, teams make their final push. Amongst games played, FC Sagarmatha surge forward (the power of booking your own pitch!) with number of games played. They were however coming off a winless streak as they faced Saitama Jets on November 14th. With Jets scoring an early goal that slipped right through the keepers hands, it was looking like another winless day for Sagarmatha.
