The busiest day of the Footy Japan season came and went without incident. The 3rd Edition of hosting the 2 tournaments in one day was a great success. The youngest competitors were aged 5 and the eldest were in their 50's. They played for the love of the game but also helped raise money for Refugees International Japan.
It's only fitting that the first ever TML player profile should be the leagues founder Sid Lloyd. He has possibly clocked up the most TML apperances, injuries and has represented around half the teams who play in the league.
Firstly Happy New Year to you all. Time for another fascinating report. If you are one of my avid fans then you are aware even though I run the tournament I actually end up watching very little of the matches. Why I hear you ask? I am not totally sure but I am usually playing, chatting to people and generally making sure everyone is having a good time.
Some people fear the Summer 7s. A 9:30 kick off, an expected finish for finalists around 4pm all in 30 plus degrees, with constant sun exposure and playing the game they love on a hot artificial pitch. It’s now been 4 years since the above weather conditions have shone out from behind the clouds.
Saturday evening saw the 13th Edition of the TML End of Season Award Ceremony.
It was a successful evening. Many thanks to all the TML players, Wags and Friends who attended.
