It's been over a year since we've had any sort of 7 aside football but it finally happened. January 29th at YCAC. 10 teams duking it out in two groups. It was great to see so many international communities coming together to play a common sport.
Group A had Atletico Nacional, Chin Brothers FC, All Stars FC, Morooka Yatagarasu FC, Panthers FC. Group B had Specialized Group, FC Nomades, FutsalTokyo, Kilimanjaro FC, Suns FC. With only two teams from the TML...
After a tough 3-3 draw against Fussa last week, Real Celts pulled together for a very solid performance against BFC Vagabonds, earning them the Robert Walters team of the week!
Game was held at one of TML's latest venues, BST Nagasawa Sports Ground, which has a slightly smaller pitch size. The turf itself is gorgeous which makes it a joy for any footballer to play on.
The night started off rough for Real Celts with their keeper getting a dislocated...
Happy New Year to everyone! Hopefully players are eager to shed some of the weight they've put on over the holidays... and what better way to do so than to play football?!
The Robert Walters Team of the Week goes to BFC Vagabonds after winning their game against FC Sagarmatha.
Despite it snowing a few days before this match, the weather was very pleasant on the day (so pleasant that even Stephen Etherington was not wearing a beanie).
British Embassy have had very polarizing results this season so far. At their highs, they've beat the top two teams of last season Hibs and Pumas. At their lows, they've lost against bottom-tier Panthers. But regardless of their result, this team will put in the work, put in the practices and continue to chug on. In a league where many teams lose commitment based on results, clubs like British Embassy show how a team is suppose to operate.
With only a handful of weeks left until the end of the year, teams make their final push. Amongst games played, FC Sagarmatha surge forward (the power of booking your own pitch!) with number of games played. They were however coming off a winless streak as they faced Saitama Jets on November 14th. With Jets scoring an early goal that slipped right through the keepers hands, it was looking like another winless day for Sagarmatha.
A big TML weekend with 8 games played! Aaron Balogh, one of leagues veteran refs completed his 600th TML game. Enormous mile stone accomplished!
Coming back from a 5 month break, Real Celts beat YC&AC 3-1. This is their first victory after 6 months of no wins! Hopefully Real Celts can gain some momentum from their third win of the season!
In Division 3 Saitama Jets stopped Albion Old Boys 6 win streak in Saitama. Albion Old Boys have been on a...
A delightful weekend for football, with the temperature cool and the skies void of rain.
Albion Old Boys wins the Robert Walters team of the week after their back to back wins against BFC Vagabonds. Their first encounter was a 7-2 win and they continued their momentum into this week with a 7-3 win! Takuma Ueyama has been confirmed to be the kryptonite of BFC Vagabonds, scoring a total of 7 goals in their last two encounters. Ryan Cranblitt also scored a hat trick...
