Robert Walters Team of the Week (Sept 24)
Announcements -
A collosal win by Trust United this weekend, scoring an average of a goal per 5 minutes to get a scoreline of 16-0. Certainly puts any skeptisicm on why they were allowed to join from Division 2 to rest!
The Robert Walters TOTW goes to Hibs this week, playing against FC International in midst of a typhoon. While the rain was heavy, the pitch was perfectly playable (and almost more enjoyable).
The captains and referee talked to each other in spanish, captains exchanging jokes that they wouldn't be able to swear in Spanish during the game.
The game was fierce, as is always between the two teams with lots of histroy. Every 50/50 ball was strongly contested. Much of the game was played at a fast tempo, as both teams rarely gave each other enough time and space to posses the ball safely in the back. The opening goal was scored by Hiroki Kobayashi (Hibs) but FC International quickly equalized with a goal of their own.
The game looked like it could have gone either way, both teams were producing plenty of chances.
And if there is one team that knows to clinch out a game, it would be Hibs. Two more goals came from Hiroki Kobayashi giving him a hat trick. A goal from new signing Marco Knopper and another beautiful goal by Yuki Ozawa, scoring from the half line.
Congratulations to Hibernian FC for winning the Robert Walters TOTW!
